The Gonzo Show are an emerging indie rock band coming out of Brisbane, Australia. With a sound heavily influenced by the '90's Amercian indie scene (Pavement, Sebadoh), the Gonzo Show combine this with '60's jam rock... 'dreamy electro guitar noise, deliciously delicate but prominent bass-lines, a steady, driving rhythm section and a vocalist whose melodies scream ‘sing with me!’
With a love and flair for live performances, the Gonzo Show are part of a thriving and emerging Brisbane indie rock scene that has been brought together by new venues such as the Lofly labels, the Hangar. Within their first year they played the cream of Brissy Venues including the Zoo, Ric’s, the Globe, the Living Room and the Alley Bar.
The Gonzo Show have a tendency to blend their influences, drifting from country twang to all out indie guitar assaults, but never drifting far from a melodic pop structure.
The Gonzo Show will warm you up and get your heart pounding with guitar driven tracks like the fox and zlato; they will move you into a groove with red cherry stains and have you singing along to the chorus in the acoustic green apple eye girl and go for gold.
